Hi, looks like there is no DEM in TITAN. Himalayas and Everest look flat. Is an external DEM support future feature ? Gangadhar ERDAS INDIA |

The original technology preview had the terrain visualization solution on, but we disabled it for the beta...we can turn it back on. That shouldn't be too difficult. Mladen |

Yes, terrain visualisation would be nice ... it was the first thing I was looking for. Hannes |

I also wonder about external DEM support. What do you mean you can turn it back on? Is there anything I can do with present configuration to import DEM. Dubravka |

All, We are on schedule to roll out terrain support over the next several months. 'Turn back on' means we already have created the functionality, but chose not to expose it in the initial beta release. Amy |

Hi Amy, hi all, you probably would like to check this out: http://dapple.geosoft.com/. It just came out a couple of days ago. Makes sense to turn the functionnality back on soon? Cheers, JB |

| TITAN now utilizes GTOPO30 dataset as a base terrain layer and streams it in, much like the base imagery layer from GlobeXplorer. GTOPO30 is a global digital elevation model (DEM) resulting from a collaborative effort led by USGS EROS Data Center. Elevations in GTOPO30 are regularly spaced at 30-arc seconds (approximately 1 kilometer). |

Does TITAN support 3D rendering of user DEMs? If not, when it will be added? Vladimir |

Ganagdhar, We have terrain support from GTOPO30, a global digital elevation model (DEM) resulting from a collaborative effort led by the USGS EROS Data Center. Elevations in GTOPO30 are regularly spaced at 30-arc seconds (approximately 1 kilometer). Support for additional basemap and terrain services made available by both the Network and GeoHubs is in scope for next version. There are plans to support individual users adding their own local DEMs but it is currently out of scope for the next version. Amy |
