| I am NOT impressed! When Leica first made TITAN available I installed, ran it successfully, and loaded various geosptial data -- it looked like it had promise. Then, Leica put out a first update. Following that update, TITAN no longer runs on my system past the Login screen. Instead, it continually cycles back and forth between the Login screen and the Authentication screen and it never continues the application. I tried to run TITAN today after receiving an email about the newest auto-update. TITAN appeared to load and install the update, but then the same problem persisted. I cannot evaluate the TITAN software since it refuses to get out of the Login/Authentication screen cycle. |

Hi, We have seen this before with users having firewall issues. The required firewall settings are: TCP port : 80 (outgoing ip: server2.yourgeo.com) TCP port : 8443 (outgoing ip: YourGeo.com) UDP port : 11479 (send & recieve ip: server2.yourgeo.com) TCP port : 80 c2.globexplorer.com -> GlobeXplorer Basemap (same as before) Please check with your IT department to see about opening these ports, and let us know if this solves your issue. Hope this helps, Amy |

| Is there any way around this if the IT department is unwilling to open ports other than TCP 80 for security reasons? |

Good news. These issues will go away with the new protocol in January. For data streaming, Leica TITAN will strictly utilize http. This transition to http removes the issues with ports and makes our traffic standard http traffic. In addition, this fixes the issues with broken connections, as Leica TITAN will no longer need to rely on a constant connection. Hope this helps, Amy |
