Hi, Beeldportal.nl is a WMS-Service from Imagem (NL). This WMS service is OGC compliant and runs on all possible WMS clients (incl. ArcGIS, Udig, Qgis, MapInfo, Geomedia, etc etc). All users which are not have an account on Beeldportal.nl have automaticly a max. resolution of 15 meters. If you go behound this resoltution a message is sent as an image to the user. This works with all possible WMS-client because this procedure is proccessed server-side. If I load this WMS service with Titan, I get all layers which are in the Beeldportal.nl. If I select a layer and import it to Titan, it show up in the layer-list but not on the globe. If I go with my mousepointer over the area of the imported image, the name is given but I can't see the image. At the end I don't see the data from the WMS service, only the layer list and names. I'm willing to give the WMS string for the beeldportal WMS for testing purpose, but not here on the forum. Best Regards, Wim bozelie Imagem B.V. |

Wim, Thanks for the link. Our engineers have been able to isolate the issue, and it doesn't look like there is a need for the full resolution currently. If this changes, we will be sure to let you know. Thanks, Amy |

Wim, This issue has to do with scale hint. Fixing it is a matter of clamping the size of the rasters so we don't get error messages or service exceptions if we go over the scale hint. We have this in scope to be fixed by the next update. We released OGC compliant WMS consumption capability with an understanding that it will take some time and enhancements on our part to accommodate variations in existing available web services. That's why we are using a huge pool of servers to test with. We've now added Beeldportal to our list of test servers, thanks for that part too! Thanks, Amy |
