the default background globe image seems to be not deactivable. It could be useful to toggle it on/off in order to show a blank space or draw attention to an user more detailed image or vector layer .

In the Leica TITAN Viewer, we currently provide one basemap (from GlobeXplorer) and one terrain source (GTOPO30) and at this time there is no way for a user to toggle those sources on or off, or to designate another source of base data.

However this year we have planned to provide the means for TITAN users to choose between different basemaps and terrain that provided by organizations participating as communities within the Leica TITAN Network. These organizations will be enabled to designate different basemaps and terrain data sources through a Leica TITAN GeoHub. Correspondingly this means that TITAN users will be able to select (i.e.toggle on and off) different sources of base data as their basemaps and terrain, as they participate with those communities.

Stay tuned for more!
