| KML export of a freehand annotation could be improved by removing duplicate, consecutive coordinates, I suppose? |

That's a valid argument. The idea being to weed by a certain threshold, and removing points that are the same or perhaps are collinear, and ultimately reduce the size of the KML and possibly make it faster. We will take a look, thank you for the suggestion.
